National Retail Federation

The National Retail Federation wanted to connect with the retail community and create content that would show young people that a career in retail could be more than just stocking shelves. 

Turning to Instagram, we created a feed dedicated to showing authentic, behind-the-scenes content from retail businesses across the country. Our content strategy consisted of highlighting business owners, sharing quotes and perspectives on careers in retail, and promoting timely events such as the annual Retail’s Big Show. 

In addition to on-going content series, we developed mini campaigns for the Instagram presence including a cross-country trip to highlight small business owners and providing established retailers the opportunity to ‘takeover’ and directly manage the NRF handle to share their perspective and communicate with our audience directly.

Results

Instagram following increased 200% over the course of the activation.


Social media engagements including likes and comments from followers tripled.
